Nature Retreat (Kathmandu - Bandipur - Pokhara – Chitwan)
Day One  
Meet at the airport. Drive 15 minutes to Park Village Resort, an eco-friendly hotel on the foothill of Shivapuri National Park. Welcome Drink. Check in to suite rooms with wide veranda. Refresh and rest
1.00 pm
Lunch at hotel’s Earth watch restaurant overlooking Shivapuri National Park. Stroll and watch birds in the hotel garden spread over 6 acres of jungle with lots of flowering plants, birds and butterflies. 
6.00 pm Power point presentation: Orientation of Nepal by eminent naturalists.
7.00 pm
Open-air barbeque dinner and overnight at Park Village Hotel
Day Two  
6.30 am Breakfast at Park Village Hotel & Resort
7.00 am
Drive to Shivapuri National Park entrance gate. Start hiking uphill up from entrance gate towards Nagi Gompa, a Buddhist monastery. On the way we stop for birding at Pani Muhan, which is a drinking water reservoir of the Shivapuri watershed area.  It is an excellent place to watch birds including kalij, forktails, redstarts, kingfishers etc. Main vegetation consists of Alder woods, Schima-Castanopsis forest, mixed Oak-Laurel forest, and shrub lands with wild yellow raspberry, barberry, Gaultheria, etc.
12.00 noon
Lunch at Nagi Gompa. From Nagi we climb up towards Deurali, where one can have the magnificent view of three queen cities of valley. Vegetation is composed of mixed oaks and laurel forest. Common orchids include Coelogyne. On the way possible sighting of mammals are barking deer, wild boar, Himalayan black bear, yellow-throated marten, flying squirrel. Bird includes kalij Pheasant, common hill partridge, booted eagle, black eagle, Steppe eagle, crested serpent eagle, laughing thrushes, sunbirds, tits etc. From Deurali we return to Nagi to join the evening prayer. Then proceed to Park Village hotel and resort.

Day Three  
6.30 am Breakfast
7.00 am
Transfer to Greenline coach station and proceed to Dumre with stop at Riverside Springs Resort for lunch. The drive is through scenic landscape of  Trishuli River valley and mountains.
1.00 pm
Arrive Dumre by Greenline Bus. Transfer to Bandipur (8 km) through terraced mountain land along the hill road on jeep. Check into Bandipur Mountain Resort situated at 1338m above mean sea level. Perched on the mountain cliff overlooking thousand feet of exciting canyon, on the back drop of panoramic Himalayas. Welcome drink. Refresh and rest
Walk to Bandipur Bazar, temples and Teen Dhara area. It is a unique medieval community living on the Plateau of Bandipur Mountain. It is formerly a trading post between the north and south including Chitwan and Lamjung. Newar primarily inhabit the town Gurung and Magars live in the peripheral villages. It is formerly a district administrative centre.
There is a famous Khadga Devi Mandir (Khadga = sword) the sword is a gift to an old lady donated by the king Mukunda Sen of Palpa and maternal uncle of King Prithvi Narayan Shah. It is worshipped and shown to public only once in a year during the dashain festival.
6.00 pm Cultural program, exhibiting ethnic diversity of the hilly region, buffet dinner, and overnight at Bandipur Mountain Resort.
Day Four  
6.00 am Tea /Coffee served.
6.15 am  Watch magnificent sunrise and stroll in the pine forest. 
7.30 am American breakfast at the Bandipur Mountain Resort.
8.30 am
Visit to Siddha Gufa, equipped with flashlight and petromax. It takes about two hours walk to reach the cave entrance. It is so far the biggest cave found in Nepal. The cave is enriched with stalactite, stalagmite and deep crevasses. The entrance is small and but some interiors are large enough to gather 1000 people. Generally people go inside between 50 – 200 meters. Some narrow trail hamper large bodied people to go further. The resident inside the cave includes horseshoe bats.
13.00 noon Return to hotel for lunch
2.00 pm Leisure for journal writing with tea/cookies overlooking canyon and Himalaya.
4.00 pm
Afternoon walk to rural farmland, silk farm and bird watching, possible sighting includes; Vultures, Eagles, wall creepers, common kestrel, falcons, whistling thrush, swifts and swallows, black francolins, flycatchers, babblers, robins.
Day Five  
6.30 am Full American Breakfast
7.00 am Transfer to Pokhara by tourist bus service. It takes about three hours to reach Pokhara. .
11.00 am Check in to Pokhara View Garden. A quintessential hotel near the lakeside overlooking Annapurna Himalaya.
1.00 pm Lunch at Pokhara View Garden Hotel
3.00 pm Boating in Phewa Lake enjoying the scenic beauty of the valley overlooking the mountain. 
6.00 pm Experience the cultural diversity and ethnicity performed by cultural dance and dinner at lake side restaurant
8.00 pm Overnight at Pokhara View Garden Hotel.
Day Six  
6.30 am Breakfast
7.00 am
Boating in Fewa Lake, observe aquatic fauna, water birds and climb to World Peace Stupa from the dam site to observe amazing birds including green magpie, lesser racquet-tailed drongo along the trail surrounded by the evergreen subtropical forest. Birds of Prey including Lammergeier, Himalayan griffon, and stunning snow capped mountain views
1.00 pm Return to the hotel for lunch
3.00 pm Leisure for stroll in the lake side, shopping or journal writing
6.00 pm Dinner at Lakeside restaurant.
7.30 pm Overnight at Pokhara View Garden Hotel
Day Seven  
6.30 am Breakfast
7.00 am Transfer to Chitwan by Greenline Coach. Stop for lunch at Riverside Spring Resort.
2.00 pm Check into Maruni Sanctuary Lodge
4.00 pm
Elephant Safari and bird watching in the Kumrose Community Forest. Mammals include endangered great one horned rhino, four species of deer, wild boar, if lucky the elusive tiger. Kumrose forest is a good place for sighting of common leopard. Bird includes parakeets, shama, brown-fish owl, storks, stork-billed kingfisher etc.
12.00 noon Lunch
2.00 pm
Bird watching in the riverine forest looking for Himalayan flameback, grey-capped woodpecker, pied hornbill, emerald dove, brown hawk owl etc.
6.30 pm Tharu Cultural Dance
7.30 pm Dinner and overnight at Maruni Sanctuary Lodge
Day Eight  
6.30 am Breakfast
7.00 am
Bird watching along the trail from Rapti River to Charahara with pack lunch and return from Bhawanipur and Jay Mangala. Bird includes orange-breasted green pigeon, giant hornbill, peafowl, Bengal florican, etc. The trail winds through the riverine forest and grassland.
6.30 pm Tharu cultural dance and overnight at Maruni Sanctuary Lodge.
Day Nine  
6.30 am Breakfast
7.00 pm Depart by Greenline coach to Kathmandu. Stop for lunch at Riverside Springs Resort.
3.00 pm Transfer to Maya Manor, a writer’s house located at Naxal, Hattisar. .
5.00 pm Leisure
6.30 pm Farewell dinner and overnight at Maya Manor
